I didn't think I'd end up doing "shopping runs" in a shooter, but that's basically what hunting a Broken Guidance System turns into. It's rare, it's recyclable, and it always seems to be the one thing you need right now. Before you even queue up, it helps to know what it counts as and where it tends to show up on the loot pool; I keep a quick reference open for ARC Raiders Items so I'm not second‑guessing myself mid-raid. The annoying bit isn't just finding it, either. You still have to get out alive, and that's where most runs fall apart.

If you want the most repeatable chances, Stella Montis is still the play, and the Assembly Workshop is the part you'll learn by heart. Don't wander. Cut straight in, sweep for AI, then loot like you mean it. The Broken Guidance System shows up around the obvious industrial clutter—tool stacks, tech-looking pallets, and especially that standout yellow container players call out all the time. I've pulled one from the ground next to props that looked like set dressing, so don't just tunnel on big crates. The Workshop's loud, busy, and full of angles, so treat it like a fight first and a loot room second.

Some raids the Workshop is basically a magnet for squads, and you'll feel it the second you hear gunfire echoing off metal. When that happens, rotate. The Hydroponic Dome Complex can pay off, and the technical areas on Dam Battlegrounds aren't a bad consolation prize. What you're really doing is fishing through the same "electronics/mechanical" container types over and over: red lockers, sealed crates, and those breachable metal boxes people skip because they're slow. Hit all of them. Then hit them again next run. The loot's dynamic, so your best weapon is volume—tight loop, fast checks, minimal lingering.

A lot of players finally see the item, get excited, and then die doing something silly—overpeeking a lane, greed-looting one more box, sprinting in the open to extract. Play the end of the raid like you're already carrying it. If you've got a Broken Guidance System in your bag, slow down. Use cover, clear the last AI pack instead of jogging past it, and don't pick a "hero" extraction path just because it's shorter. The boring route is usually the successful one, and success is the only thing that counts here.

Once you're back at base, don't auto-sell it. Recycling is often the smarter move because it commonly turns into about four Processors, and Processors disappear fast once you're crafting higher-tier parts. If you're pushing objectives that want high coin-value hand-ins, sure, it can be worth banking it instead. Either way, the whole grind gets easier when you commit to a loop—Workshop first, rotate if it's hot, extract early if you hit the drop—and then funnel the materials straight into your ARC Raiders gear instead of letting them sit in storage unused.RSVSR is your no-faff ARC Raiders corner for clean routes and real loot know-how. If the Broken Guidance System's on your list, sweep Stella Montis' Assembly Workshop and other tech zones, hit lockers, crates, and every container, then play it smart on extract for those processors.
